A fire ripped through an apartment complex in Toms River Thursday.
Two units at the Jamestowne Village Apartments on Walnut Street were destroyed.
Police say the fire broke out at Building 22 around 10 p.m.
People live in the complex say the fire may have started in the kitchen of the bottom apartment.
The other six units suffered smoke and water damage.
Fourteen people lived in the building. No serious injuries were reported.
Investigators are expected back on the scene to pinpoint exactly what caused the fire.
