A house on
Prospect Street in Glen Rock was struck by lightning Wednesday night, after the
scorching heat led to
thunderstorms across New Jersey.
The fire chief
says the lightning strike caused a window to shatter and an electrical socket
to fly off a kitchen wall.
No one was home at
the time.
A dog walker
arrived at the home this morning, saw the damage and smelled an odor. There was
no fire.
Utilities have now
been shut off to the house.
