FDNY extinguishes 2-alarm fire at Bed-Stuy home

Residents and a homeowner told News 12 that the damage is too extensive to return inside.

A two-alarm fire broke out Saturday morning at 559 Halsey St. – a home in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
More than 100 fire and EMS personnel responded, putting the flames out within an hour.
Residents and a homeowner told News 12 that the damage is too extensive to return inside.
The American Red Cross says it is assisting 10 people with emergency assistance.
The cause of the fire was not immediately detailed by officials.
