A 20-year-old New Jersey native who is an Israeli soldier was killed in Saturday’s attack by Hamas, the man’s family confirmed.
The family of Itay Glisko says they were notified Tuesday night that he was killed in action.
Family members say Glisko was taking care of wounded soldiers and “fought like a lion” to protect them during the Hamas attack.
He is survived by his parents and two siblings.
At least 22 Americans were killed in the attack and at least a handful may have been taken hostage according to the State Department.
