The Nabisco plant that sits along Route 208 in Fair Lawn is officially set for demolition next year. But the mayor of the town has plans to save the iconic letters that graced the top of the building.
Mayor Kurt Peluso says that he wants to make the letters landmarks across town.
"We have Berdan Park, which is often popular. It'd be really cool if a Nabisco "B" welcomed you to that park. We also have a lot of historical buildings, to welcome people to historical buildings we could also look at. But we're going to have a discussion about it,” he says.
Peluso says that several residents in town already support his ideas.
