(AP) - The ex-husband of a woman found unconsciousand badly injured in a northern New Jersey hotel parking lot hasbeen released after extensive questioning.
Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli said Allan Pelcak Jr. ofSpring Valley, N.Y., was released at 6:45 a.m. Saturday after beingquestioned for about 12 hours. No charges have been filed againsthim, and Molinelli would not say whether Pelcak is a considered asuspect in the ongoing investigation.
Laura Matousek of Valley Cottage, N.Y., was found Friday morningin the parking lot of the Sheraton Crossroads Hotel in Mahwah. Shewas supposed to meet a co-worker there to get a ride to work.
Matousek, who had apparent stab wounds to her front torso, wasin critical condition at Hackensack University Medical Center onFriday night. But a hospital spokeswoman said Saturday that furtherdetails on her condition would not be disclosed.
