After three consecutive Friday?s of sexual assaults in Bergen Country, police are finding ways to keep residents safe.
Chief Arthur O?Keefe, of the Englewood Police Department, has decided to keep residents informed of the sexual predator by passing out fliers and making reverse 911 calls to homes.
?We were trying to determine when was appropriate time to [call] in terms of balancing the investigation and public notification,? said O?Keefe. ?We made the decision last night and sent out a call both in English and Spanish.?
Similar descriptions of the suspect have been given in each of the sexual assaults leading police to believe the same man is responsible. With Friday approaching, the Englewood Police Department is staying prepared.
"We are certainly looking into all aspects of these assaults, one of which is the recurring Friday theme ? we?re trying to make sure everyone else is aware as well," said O?Keefe.
