Route 36 reopens in Monmouth County after storm knocks down utility poles
Route 36 in West Long Branch and Eatontown reopened in both directions after repairs were made to utility poles that were knocked down during Wednesday’s stormy weather.
The highway was closed Thursday morning between Monmouth Road and the Monmouth Mall.
About 10 businesses in the ShopRite plaza were without power while the repairs were being made.
Wednesday night’s storm brought heavy rain and strong wind to parts of New Jersey. The aftermath left damage in its wake and tens of thousands of people without power.
