The demolition of a Paterson apartment complex is taking longer than expected.
Approval for the demolition of Riverside Terrace was expected back in early 2016, but processing is holding it up.
The redevelopment project includes 259 townhouses, a community center and a retail space. Officials say that the rebuild is necessary because the complex is in a state of disrepair.
Currently 188 of the 300 apartments remain occupied. Completion of the new site is targeted for the end of 2020.
