A demolition crew has discovered human remains believed to be that of an Ocean Township woman who went missing last year.
News 12 New Jersey is waiting on confirmation that Jacqueline Terrulli’s remains have been found nine months after she went missing. Terrulli has been missing since a fire destroyed her family’s home on Wickapeko Drive on Sept. 12, 2019.
Ocean Township police and investigators from the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office arrived at the home early Thursday morning. The house has been under demolition for the last several weeks, and News 12 is told that demolition crews found the remains.
An excavator and white tent were set up in the yard.
A family friend who had been living at the home has been charged with Terrulli’s murder.
Authorities say that Ronald Teschner was found in Paterson two days after the fire driving Terrulli’s vehicle and in possession of some of her jewelry and some guns.
Teschner was charged with weapons offenses and with possessing stolen items. He was eventually charged for Terrulli’s murder and for starting the fire at the home, but at the time her remains had not been found.
