CVS has begun administering COVID-19 vaccines today, but after opening up appointments across stores Thursday around New Jersey, it took only an hour for all the slots to be booked.
According to the company, they received 25,000 doses, which they will continue to receive weekly from the federal government.
If you missed getting an appointment this time around, Christina Cacchioli, of the CVS COVID Task Force, has some advice.
"As the vaccine shipments are received by the stores, then that's when the next allocation of appointments or allotment of appointments will open up on the website, so I would just say check frequently,” says Cacchioli.
CVS says there’s not a certain day or time to check, and the number of doses sent to stores will vary depending on the store's capability to administer the vaccine.
Walk-ins are still not allowed.
