Members of the Cuban National Baseball team may have defected during a trip to play the New Jersey Jackals at Yogi Berra Stadium in Montclair.
According to the Jackals, two players are missing.
A third, reportedly related to New York Mets star Yoenis Cespedes, also seemingly defected.
The president of the Jackals says, "We are continuing to work with campus authorities to help find these players and help resolve their issues."
The Trump Administration back in April canceled a deal between MLB and the Cuban Baseball Federation.
The deal would have made it easier for Cuban players to come suit up in the U.S.
The White House said last month it would revisit the issue if Cuba stopped cooperating with Venezuela.
