Road closures remain in effect in a Wall Township community Sunday due to a fallen power line.
All lanes along northbound Route 34 have been closed since Friday evening between Allenwood and Allaire roads after the wind took down the live power line.
Crews have been on the scene working around the clock to complete repairs.
Officials on the scene said that a live power line hit a natural gas vent that caused pressure to build and create a small hole in the gas main. The main had to be cut out and replaced, and the lack of air underground prevented a more serious issue.
Crews clarified that the issue is not a power line issue. However, the power is still out from when that power line was taken down JCP&L will repair that power line once the gas main issue is repaired.
