Gov. Jon Corzine announced recommendations Wednesday that were created by his Teen Driver Study Commission.
The commission is a 15-member group created by Corzine last year to assess the state of teen driving in New Jersey. The group?s report calls for immediate action to include display stickers on vehicles driven by teens to make them easier for police and other drivers to identify.
There is also a recommendation to change the seat belt law so everyone in a vehicle wears one, including adults riding the back seat.
Some New Jersey residents feel the recommendations are good.
?You can fly out of the back seat just as [easily] as you can fly out of the front seat,? Sterling resident Kathleen Mastorianni says.
However, others feel some of the new suggestions are too strict.
?I disagree with that, I believe the driver and the front person should have a seat belt on, but anybody else doesn?t necessarily need it,? Piscataway resident Colleen Pagano says.
In all, there are 47 recommendations in the governor?s report. For more on the driving recommendations, go to channel 612 on your iO digital cable box and select iO Extra.
