The coronavirus is impacting even the bridal industry, with wedding dress shops in New Jersey saying they are in constant contact with manufacturers in China.

Arlene's Bridal in Bloomfield can no longer place rush orders and the store is encouraging brides to shop earlier than planned.

Under normal circumstances when someone makes a purchase, the store might wait until the following week to order from manufacturers, says manager Jewel Muhammad. But now, the store places orders or checks inventory immediately, she says.

Purchases for bridesmaids and mothers of the bride and groom are affected as well, the store says.
