Certain businesses in Hoboken will be required to record customer information for contact tracing purposes, starting Friday.
Mayor Ravi Bhalla, as well as the Hoboken Office of Emergency Management, announced the new requirements to boost contact tracing efforts.
The businesses include restaurants, bars, gyms, wellness establishments, fitness studios, salons, and health clubs. Grocery and retail stories are not on the contact tracing list, nor is take-out or delivery services.            
Contact information is needed anywhere there is prolonged contact with customers or employees. The information will only be shared with the Hoboken Health Department in the event of a positive COVID-19 case.
