With the potential of Hurricane Henri to severely impact Connecticut, hardware stores are seeing a rush of people purchasing items in case of power outages and flooding.

998ds agoWith the potential of Hurricane Henri to severely impact Connecticut, hardware stores are seeing a rush of people purchasing items in case of power outages and flooding.
News 12's Shosh Bedrosian was at the Cranbury Market in Norwalk, where all bottled and gallons of water were already sold out by noon.
Wilton Hardware owner Tom Sato says that certain batteries and flashlights were in short supply by Saturday afternoon.
"They've learned to stock up on their batteries. Sump pumps have been very big," Sato says.
Popular items ranged from extension cords to people walking away with new coolers for a place to put food if the power goes out.
At Cranbury Market, many stocked up on meat and boxed items.
Some people tell News 12 the stores may have been flooded because some have been rushing home from vacation to try to stock up before the storm.
