The Newark Police Department is asking the public for help identifying a person suspected of stealing three packages from a person’s porch.
Police say the thefts happened on April 30 around 5 p.m. They say a person was seen walking past the home on Vermont Avenue near South Orange Avenue. That person was pulling a rolling briefcase.
The person is seen walking up to the victim’s front steps and putting the packages into a black garbage bag.
Police say the suspect is described as a Black man who was seen wearing a blue hoodie, blue denim pants and dark shoes.
