Water levels seem to be rising in the Borough of Roosevelt in western Monmouth County.

Neighbors and environmentalists say wetland areas are expanding, causing trees to be uprooted.

One resident tells News 12 New Jersey that trees fall behind her home almost every time it rains. Local environmentalists and borough officials are asking the Department of Environmental Protection to investigate the causes of the rising water.
