Cold snap bears down on New Jersey

People around New Jersey are out enjoying the cooler temperatures as they close out the holiday weekend. Temperatures were in the low 40s this afternoon, but winds made it feel more like the mid-20s.

People around New Jersey are out enjoying the cooler temperatures as they close out the holiday weekend. Temperatures were in the low 40s this afternoon, but winds made it feel more like the mid-20s.
News 12 New Jersey stopped in Roosevelt Park in Edison, where many had gathered to take in the brisk weather. Earlier in the day, News 12 New Jersey was in Jersey City, where the wind whipped through tall buildings in the Hudson County city.
News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says cold temperatures are here to stay as freezing temperatures settle in for the next few nights.
