FORECAST:
Temperatures are frigid through today with calm wind. The sun feels nice, but the air doesn't. Highs will only get to the upper 30s before cooling down to the 20s again overnight.
A light southwest wind tomorrow will jump temperatures to the mid-50s by Tuesday afternoon, creating relief from the cold.
The mild air sticks through for Wednesday with an increase of the humidity. A front arrives on Wednesday evening after 5 p.m. to produce thunderstorms. These thunderstorms can be severe with gusts near 40-60 mph and flooding downpours. These storms are sharp, but quick, clearing before midnight into Thursday morning.
The wind picks up significantly to finish the week, with gusts at least near 30 mph through Thursday and Friday.
Temperatures cool to the 40s/50s toward the weekend.
