Clifton police are warning residents about an increase in home invasions and burglaries after two more homes in the area were targeted.
Police say that early Friday morning, a group of suspects tried to force open the bathroom window of a home on Friar Lane but were unsuccessful.
Police say that two nights later at a home on nearby Conklin Drive, suspects were able to enter a home through an unlocked bathroom window. They ran off after the homeowner woke up and noticed them. They were able to get away with some jewelry and other items.
No arrests have been made.
Police say that residents should always make sure the doors and windows to their homes and vehicles are locked and secured.
