Clean Ocean Action held its 39th annual Spring Beach Sweep in Sandy Hook on Saturday morning.

Volunteers helped clean beaches before the warm weather starts to draw in larger crowds.

The event spanned across multiple beaches in New Jersey.

The beach sweeps are bi-annual. The next will take place in the fall.
