New Jersey candidate for governor Chris Christie testified in Washington D.C. before a congressional subcommittee Thursday.
Democrats claim Christie used his position as U.S. Attorney to send millions of dollars in fees from a corporate settlement to his former boss, John Ashcroft.
The Democrats released an e-mail Christie sent as an attorney to a company complaining about the fees to Ashcroft. In the email, Christie wrote, ?I am very disappointed.?
Another topic Christie came under fire for was why Bristol-Myers Squibb was asked to endow a chair at Christie?s alma mater, Seton Hall University. Christie defended himself, claiming he was not involved in those discussions.
According to Christie, Washington Democrats are merely acting as surrogates for Gov. Jon Corzine.
