Man sentenced for assaulting attendant on flight from Newark airport

One chicken needed a little help to cross the road. The wandering fowl was found near Exit 21 on the Southern State Parkway on Sunday and then spotted again on Wednesday.

Rescuers were on site before the chicken disappeared again and brought it to safety.

It is now in foster care at an East Meadow site, waiting to find a new home.
