A
new internet challenge involving making a bowl of cereal is giving people a
taste of what life may soon be like for a North Caldwell boy in danger of
losing his sight.
Zachary
Root was born deaf, and diagnosed with Usher
Syndrome, and vision loss is a symptom.
His family is raising money with the ‘Cereal Challenge’ to hopefully slow things
down.
The challenge involves blindfolding yourself to make a
bowl of cereal -- a task much harder than you think, and a reality of what Root
could face if he loses his sight.
His
family, so far, has raised $48,000 toward their $100,000 goal.
