New Jersey leads the Northeast in population growth, according to the United States Census Bureau.
According to the bureau, New Jersey now has more than 9.5 million residents, up more than 120,000 from 2023.
New Jersey also currently has the largest number of jobs and employers in state history. Figures show nearly 4.4 million jobs for every 283,000 employers – the most in state history.
