The driver of a Jeep narrowly escaped serious injury after a runaway truck tire crashed into the front-end of his vehicle.

Another driver caught the incident on camera. The large tire is seen rolling down Route 440 in Edison Wednesday afternoon. The tire crossed over a concrete barrier, missed several other cars, before colliding with the Jeep.

The Jeep driver says that he was following his wife and kids who were in another car. He says that the tire missed their car and hit his. He sustained a few minor injuries.

New Jersey State Police are investigating where the tire came from.
