BITTER BLAST

Arctic air takes hold of New Jersey after first snowstorm.




1, 5-6 lb rack of pork ribs

1 container of original flavor BBQ sauce

1 container of guava marmalade

1 c water

1 c red wine vinegar

Salt

Pepper

Cayenne pepper

*Pre-heat oven to 300.

*Place ribs in roasting pan and sprinkle both sides with salt, pepper and cayenne.

*Pour water and vinegar into pan with ribs. Cover with foil and creat a tight seal.

*Bake ribs for 3 hours.

*Remove ribs from oven and carefully remove foil.

*Place ribs on a cookie sheet an set aside. Pour drippings from pan into a sauce pan. Add BBQ sauce and guava. Cook over medium heat until guava is dispersed throughout and sauce thickens about 15 minutes.

*Place ribs back in roasting pan and pour sauce over. Bake ribs for another hour. Serve hot with your favorite sides!
