Canadian wildfire smoke to impact New Jersey’s air quality on Wednesday
Smoke from the Canadian wildfires continues to impact New Jersey’s air quality.
According to AirNow.Gov, portions of New Jersey will see moderate air quality conditions on Wednesday. Areas impacted include northern counties in the state, as well as counties along the western side of the state.
Those who are sensitive to breathing issues may want to limit their time spent outdoors.
The Canadian wildfires have been impacting the Garden State’s air quality for most of the month. Many New Jersey residents may remember several weeks ago when the skies were tinted orange, with a haze due to the smoke.
The state of New Jersey operates 29 air monitoring stations, according to the state Department of Environmental Protection. More information about air quality can be found on the department’s website.
