A Camden man has been charged with human trafficking, promoting prostitution and acts of violence against two women he allegedly forced to perform commercial sex acts, state officials said.

Keith B. Woodson, 40, is charged with multiple counts of human trafficking, promoting prostitution and aggravated assault, according to the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office.

Authorities said Woodson allegedly forced at least two women to perform sex acts for money and narcotics. Prosecutors said he posted ads, rented hotel rooms, arranged meetings with clients and collected money paid to the victims.

In one case, Woodson allegedly threatened to hurt a victim or withhold food if she did not comply. Authorities said he also threatened violence against her family if she tried to leave.

Prosecutors said a second victim was dependent on narcotics and was allegedly expected to earn $1,000 a day. Woodson allegedly supplied her with drugs and threatened to kill her and her family if she did not comply.
