Brookdale Community College is giving families some Halloween scares this weekend with a haunted theater.

The haunted theater is in its 17th year, and more than 3,000 people are expected to visit by the time the weekend is over.

Organizers say the haunted maze is New Jersey-themed.

The planning begins in the summer and the money raised goes to the theater department at the college.

Organizers say about 100 students worked on the project, and it takes about two weeks to take down.
