The Borgata Hotel & Casino has announced its reopening plan – it will open to invited guests on July 23 and then to the public on July 26.
The casino was originally supposed to open on July 3 – the day Gov. Phil Murphy gave casinos the OK to reopen. But Borgata officials decided to delay when indoor dining was postponed.
Once the Borgata reopens, employees and guests will be required to wear masks and get their temperature checked upon entering. The casino floor will be open, but certain restrictions will be in place, such as dividers at table games and every other slot machine will be turned off.
Poker won’t be available in the first phase.
Some of the restrictions are similar to ones that have been put into place at other casinos, like the Hard Rock, which reopened on July 3.
All nine of Atlantic City’s casinos are only allowed to operate at 25% capacity. No smoking, drinking or dining indoors will be allowed, under the governor’s orders.
