Bloomingdale shelter says pit bull was stolen
The president of the Bloomingdale Animal Shelter, Ellen Ribitzki, tells News 12 New Jersey that a 4-year-old pit bull named Sugar was taken from the shelter this morning.
The shelter says the dog was taken from the kennel around 11:30 a.m. while kennel personnel were in the office.
The shelter says it is worried about Sugar in the cold temperatures. The dog is described as a friendly, white pit bull with a distinctive, malformed lower jaw. Sugar wears a harness since she has a collapsed trachea. The shelter says she will fall over when walked on a leash.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the Bloomingdale Animal Shelter at 973-838-2220.
