Police: Bloomingdale man charged for using cellphone to record woman in Willowbrook Mall dressing room
Police have charged a Bloomingdale man accused of using his cellphone to take photographs of a woman who was in a dressing room at Willowbrook Mall in Wayne.
The woman says she was in a dressing room at H&M in October 2022 when someone held a cellphone under the privacy curtain and took photographs of her, according to police. The woman told police that the person ran away when she screamed.
Police say the woman's friend followed the person and was able to give a description of the male suspect to police.
Police say they reviewed surveillance video provided by mall security that showed the man running from the mall, entering a black SUV and fleeing.
After a lengthy investigation, police say they identified the man and that he was taken into custody. Christian Tellobazan, 40, of Bloomingdalem was arrested and charged with invasion of privacy.
Tellobazan was released on a summons in accordance with bail reform guidelines.
