Hudson County residents put up a billboard in response to Donald Trump's recent comments on terrorism and New Jersey.
The Republican presidential candidate said over the weekend that thousands in Jersey City celebrated during the 9/11 terror attacks. On Wednesday, Trump said that he has the foresight to predict terror events.
Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop denied anything like that ever happening.
"Either he [Trump] is willfully making up lies, or he has memory issues," Fulop said. "If you have either one of those, you have to question his ability to be president."
People in Hudson County were not happy with Trump's statements, and put up a billboard in Kearny as a response. It reads: "Thank you Mayor Fulop for fighting the hate #MakeJerseyGreat."
New Jersey governor and fellow presidential candidate Chris Christie also said he disagrees with Trump's claim that New Jersey residents reveled in the 9/11 attacks.
