2 injured in Berkley Township crash that sent cars careening out of control near a home

Authorities say one driver was airlifted to Jersey Shore Medical Center and the other was transported to Community Hospital in Toms River.

Two people were injured in a crash in Berkley Township that sent two cars careening out of control, inches from a home.
Residents in the neighborhood say the dramatic scene highlights a major ongoing problem in the township.
One resident on the corner of Bimidi and Jamaica Drive told News 12 New Jersey that this is the third time an accident has taken place at his property since January. He went on to say that at about 9 a.m. today, one car riding toward Route 37 collided with another car at the intersection and ended up on his front patio.

Authorities say one driver was airlifted to Jersey Shore Medical Center and the other was transported to Community Hospital in Toms River.
The Ocean County Sheriff and Berkeley Township police remained at the scene to investigate the crash.
