Bed Bath & Beyond to slash about 1,300 jobs in New Jersey

Job cuts go into effect Tuesday at their e-commerce fulfillment center in Port Reading.

Bed Bath & Beyond plans to eliminate 1,295 jobs across New Jersey.
The retailer expects to cut 377 employees at their corporate headquarters in Union; 572 employees at their e-commerce fulfillment center in Port Reading, and roughly 340 cuts across their Secaucus and Totowa warehouses, according to a WARN notice filed with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
The job cuts go into effect Tuesday in Port Reading, April 1 in Totowa, April 5 in Secaucus and April 9 in Union.
In February, the company announced the closure of at least 150 stores nationwide amid financial struggles.
