Beautiful weather ensured the success of Keyport?s annual Memorial Day parade Saturday.

Clear skies overhead allowed for a strong turnout, with people lining the streets as fire trucks, bagpipe players and others filed by. Residents say holding the event early in the weekend allows them more chances to do something special for the holiday.

The town is also marking its 100th anniversary. Officials have planned a number of other centennial celebration events for Keyport residents to enjoy also.
