The Better Business Bureau has issued a warning against a loan company that allegedly scammed some New Jersey residents.
Carlsdtadt Capital received a rating of "F" on the BBB Web site for claiming to offer loans to people despite bad credit, demanding an up-front fee to process the loans and then never sending money.
George and Kristi Maser say they sent $2,000 to an address in Canada and never received their loan. The Masers are both currently unemployed and needed money to repair their home.
According to the BBB, an international investigation of Carlstadt Capital involving the Royal Canadian Police is under way.
