? A boy is recovering after a little league game almost turned deadly for him in Wayne.
Steven Domalewski, 12, was pitching in a game Tuesday when he was struck in the chest by a line drive. Domalewski?s friends saw the accident and thought he would be fine until adults started calling 911. Doctors say Steven?s heart was struck in between heart cycles, leading to electrical abnormalities and cardiac arrest. Field coaches administered CPR and Domalewski?s heart restarted.
Only 170 such cases have ever been recorded in the U.S. Doctors say protective chest gear can prevent future accidents.
