Asbury Park votes to allow indoor dining, despite executive order banning it

Asbury Park officials have voted to allow indoor dining starting on June 15, despite Gov. Phil Murphy’s executive order banning it during the pandemic.
Bars and restaurants in the city must operate at 25% of the building’s capacity or 50 people – whichever is lower.

The governor’s executive order states that only outdoor dining would be allowed on June 15.
Bars and restaurants throughout the state are currently only allowed to offer takeout and delivery service.
Murphy has not yet said when all restaurants can return to indoor dining.
