An arrest has been made in an arson that targeted a North Jersey community group's building.
Prosecutors say Kenneth Smith is accused of tossing a Molotov cocktail into the Knights of Columbus location in Fair Lawn back on June 27. It caused a fire in the building's front office.
Following an investigation, police arrested Smith on Friday. He is charged with aggravated arson and possession of a weapon.
Smith, a trucking dispatcher in Paterson, is being held at the Bergen County Jail. His first court appearance is scheduled for Monday.
The motive for the arson remains unclear.
