Dozens of people gathered in Asbury Park Thursday evening to protest police brutality.
Oct. 22 was the National Day Against Police Violence. Those who came out on Thursday were speaking out against the death of Hasani Best.
An Asbury Park police officer shot and killed Best during a standoff in August.
The protesters demanded that the officer that shot Best face criminal charges for the act. They also are calling for consistent police accountability.
The group called for funds to be relocated from policing to the community.
