Aftermath of Hurricane Harvey continues to impact gas prices
New Jersey's rainy weather and high gas prices are negatively affecting some resident's Labor Day Weekend plans.
Gas prices are continuing to soar due to the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in Texas. Overnight, prices went up 7 cents and have now risen a whopping 37 cents in a week.
Gas pipelines that run from Houston, Texas to Linden, New Jersey are not in full use and refineries in Texas are not running.
The state average for a gallon of regular is at $2.74.
There is a bright spot for people traveling around the Garden State this Labor Day. According to News 12 meteorologists, Monday's forecast calls for sunny skies with temperatures in the 80s.
