People who enjoy Lake Topanemus Park in Freehold will no longer have to walk on a busy road to get to the best fishing spots because a bridge from Alabama will try to fix the problem.
The bridge will only be a few feet long, but will make a difference when it comes to the safety of fishers.
According to officials, the bridge was built in Alabama and was transported to New Jersey in one piece.
The initiative was approved as part of the borough's participatory budgeting process, in which citizens of the borough vote on projects they want to see funded.
