The nation's second-largest Halloween parade was held in Toms River Monday night.
The 78th annual parade is second only to the Halloween parade held in Greenwich Village, New York.
Decorated floats and marching bands traveled along Main Street and then onto Washington Street, as thousands of New Jersey residents watched.
There was candy, music and a costume contest for the children.
Spectators showed up hours early to claim their spots along the parade route.
Organizers said rules were to be strictly enforced after a little boy was hurt over the weekend by a float in Point Pleasant.
