A 71-year-old crossing guard was hit by a car this morning at the intersection of Hooper Avenue and Arnold Street in Fair Lawn.
Police say the crossing guard became trapped under the car but was rescued by first responders. The driver, a 22-year-old man from Fair Lawn, stayed at the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital with a leg injury.
The whole incident happened around 8:30 a.m.
