An animal rescue group is asking the public to help a 5-month-old puppy who was found abandoned during the recent heatwave in Newark.

Pitties and Pals Rescue, Inc, says Finn was left inside a cardboard box as temperatures climbed to 100 degrees.

He was given emergency medical treatment. He remains in critical but improving condition.
