A three-alarm fire broke out at a six-story apartment complex at 555 Bronx River Road just before 1 a.m. Tuesday, according to emergency officials.
Multiple crews worked to extinguish the blaze and cleared the scene by 4:45 a.m.
Hours after the fire was extinguished, crews returned to the building to remove siding, windows, and excess glass from a top-floor apartment. Smoke damage marks the exterior windows of that apartment and surrounding units. Soot, glass, and debris from the cleanup are piling up on the ground.
No injuries have been reported. Four people are temporarily displaced and receiving help from the Red Cross.
